Moving to the Future

Our City engineers, planners and traffic staffs all agree, this is the wrong project at the wrong time. Traffic problems are not resolvable and the infrastructure is not correct for a retail development. However the land is zoned properly for a distribution center and the Target Corporation says they care for us and our community.

Make this site the home of the most beautiful Distribution center in all  the city, the state and the country. Target, you can make a statement to all of America, you really do care about communities, especially in their home state of Minnesota. The current site can be surrounded with trees, walks, ponds and bike paths, and maybe as Target Representatives suggested, a fountain and a memorial. Target says they want to invest in us, then show us. Don't spend millions sucking our coffers dry in legal battles, instead, invest in our community. Give back not just a few hundreds here and there to classrooms, but give thousands for the sake of our fine city. As a return, think of the good will and great PR Target Corporation can create. It will be a great return on your investment.

The choice is that of Target Corporation, the path they choose will show us what they are really made of.
