At the Planners hearings Target Corporation made a big deal on how much they want to help our community and they are investing  $40 millions in us.

Lets be clear. Target is investing $40,000,000 in themselves. They own the land, they own the building and they plan on making a handsome profit everyday. They will not be sending checks every month to you or I to share their profits, they are keeping their money as a return on their investment. They are investing for themselves and using our money to achieve their dreams. There is nothing wrong with that...but they are not "investing in us."

Perhaps if Target cared for us so deeply they will lower their credit card interest rates from 21% to say 9%, or maybe they could "invest the profits" in our community.

The Target Corporation employees and speakers kept saying that the current facility is so olds and so ugly. Does Target Corporation believe that anything old or ugly needs to be discarded? Does that apply to homes, cars? people? Maybe that says something about
Target Corporation values?

Does the City now have the right to get rid of your home or neighborhood because they think it's too ugly enough for our fine City
