The Target Corporation does not care about your street or your kids or your home value.
Target Corporation is in business to take money from your wallet and put it into the pockets of it's stockholders.
The Target Corporation Legal team could care less if 5 thousand cars a day passed your door. They do not live on 110th street or Old Shakopee Circle, their homes are well insulated from this proposed re zoning.
The Target Corporation Marketing Team tells us our we will only see 4000 cars a day and our values will go up..Great...maybe they can buy the homes from the hardworking homeowners and raise their children there.
There are plenty of City employees and leaders that understand how this development hurts so many peoples lives, yet there are also too many leaders that could care less what happens to you and me.
Target Corporations own engineers admit the dangers, yet Target Corporation could care less.
The City of Bloomington has gained the reputation of throwing away perfectly good neighborhoods, local businesses and homeowners in the name of progress. We have seen this trend, and we should be scared.
Where will our leaders lead? Where will our council people vote? Will they justify the damage in the name of progress? Will they let Target Corporations Money and might buy their vote?
In the wee hours of October 29, Target Corporation withdrew it's application. It was clear the council heard the evidence from City Staff, and citizens and was about to make the right choice.
Will Target resubmit applications ? Will it sell the land? Will it simply start operating the distribution center and bide it's time? Stay tuned...we are not going anywhere.
