I was at one of the Target info meetings last week and someone asked about Property Values. Property Value is a buss word thrown around to make you ooohh and aahh so you thing  you are getting something for nothing. Predictably the Target Representative yes, the new Target was such an asset that surely all our values will suddenly rise. My experience is just the opposite is true, especially those of us living within a mile or two of the development.  For Every Real Estate person that agrees that values go up, I can find a Local realtor thats says they will not see any change or may even drop.

If in doubt, just go to your local realtor and get an honest and unbiased opinion.

Lastly, would you pay more for a house in area with heavy traffic, crime and a bees nest of cars coming and going? Me neither.
