BIG BOX WEST BLVD?

What about further development. If the city planners do their job, they will reject the application to rezone the property. We bought into our neighborhoods knowing current zoning. Changing the zoning is like changing the rules of the game in mid game. The winners are Target Stock holders and those that are isolated from the effects of traffic and development. The losers are all of us that live with in a mile and for those outside of that zone that will receive ripple effects of crime and traffic and declining property value.

If Target gets the area rezoned, whats next? There are numerous other “Industrial sites” along Old Shakopee Road that will be prime targets (excuse the pun) for rezoning requests from Best Buy, Wal Mart and others. If the City grants the variance to Target, they will have set a legal precedence opening the floodgates for the rest of West Bloomington from Normadale to HWY 169. Welcome Big Box West of Bloomington Minnesota.
